Gift list company Wrapit has now gone into administration. Although there has been no update on the company website, several news websites have today published stories on the closure of the company.

According to the Guardian site, the company was unable to find new sources of finance, as was hoped last week, and Wrapit's bank HSBC has called in administrators KPMG.

Wrapit has been in financial trouble for several months, with many couples complaining that their gifts had not been delivered on time. If you have registered a wedding list with Wrapit, please warn your guests not to order presents. Despite the news today, the Wrapit website appears to be taking orders at the moment.

Wrapit is advising customers that any gifts bought with credit card or Visa debit card will be refunded, but those who paid by cheque or Switch/Maestro were likely to lose their money.

Although KPMG has set up a helpline to answer couples' questions (0844 770 1301), it is proving difficult to get through at the moment.
