Personal trainer Sarah-Jane Hunter explains how to get in shape in time for the big day
ON YOUR WEDDING DAY, all eyes are on you as the centre of attention. This is the moment when you want to look and feel your best – which is a lot of pressure! Sarah-Jane has worked with hundreds of brides over the years and says that the arms are a major problem area. Nowadays we generally go for dresses that are off the shoulder, halter-neck or sweetheart – ie dresses that show much of the top of the back, chest and the arms. So what can be done to tone up those bingo wings? Well even if you only have a couple of weeks to your wedding day it is still worth doing some targeted exercise, and the best thing about this routine is that you don’t need to spend any money on expensive gym equipment.
What you need - Water (to drink) - Towel (to wipe your sweat) - 1.5k weights - 3k weights If you don’t have weights, use what you have in the house, such as tins (try and get big family size ones), or fill two bottles with water for resistance.
What you need to remember Women are generally weak when it comes to upper body strength, so you might find some of this difficult to start with – do your best, work at your own level, you will get there and see results fast.
