Welcome
Its been a busy old month at The Scottish Wedding Directory. We hosted the 2nd
annual VOWS Awards (Voted Outstanding Wedding Supplier) and now have even
more appreciation for brides planning their special day. Whether it's poring
over seating plans, carefully selecting the entertainment, choosing a menu
to suit all tastes or finding that perfect dress, it can become stressful,
and everyone needs a little help along the way. Which is where we come in!
In this month's newsletter we have plenty of special offers, suggestions
and advice to help you stick to your budget and take some of the pressure
off your planning. As always, we're here to help and would love to hear from
you.

P.S.
Why not check out the VOWS website at www.vowsawards.co.uk to see the nominees and winners of the 2006 awards? These wedding suppliers were all nominated by brides just like you, for providing outstanding service and products.
We're
ditching the models for the day to give a lucky bride and her mum
the star treatment...
Still undecided on your wedding day hairdo? Or perhaps you just can't choose
between the natural look and something bolder for your bridal make-up? Well,
how do you fancy a girlie afternoon with the SWD team and a couple of other mums
and daughters, with make-up and hair experts on hand to show you what's possible?
We'll provide lunch and Champagne - all you have to do is sit back and relax
as you both have your hair and make-up styled by the very best in the business.
This will all take place at a Glasgow photographic studio where you and your
mum will try out lots of different wedding day looks to give you ideas, while
a professional photographer snaps away in the background. Although the focus will be on the make-up side of things, you will be dressed in some fabulous wedding
outfits so that you really feel the part. The best pics from the photo shoot will
be published in The Scottish Wedding Directory's Spring/Summer 2007 issue - so
not only will you have a nice memento of the day but you'll also provide inspiration
for other brides and mums too!
If you are interested in taking part please email ros@scottishweddingdirectory.co.uk, attaching a pic of you both and telling us why you think you and your mum should be picked. Please also tell us what day(s) you are available in Glasgow during the week beginning November 27th (on a weekday and/or Saturday and Sunday).

Hen Party Beauty

Following
demand from her existing bridal clients, Ainsley M, professional
make-up artist (and Vows 2006 nominee), is delighted to introduce
two new services.
From November 2006, she will be launching 'hen night' makeovers
and will also be selling vouchers for her 'one on one' make-up
lessons.
Why not start your biggest girls night out with an Ainsley M professional make over? Ainsley will travel to your home/venue to give each of your hens a look to dazzle. Prices start at £25 per person.
A 15% discount is offered off the price of the hen party make-up, if the wedding day make-up is also booked with Ainsley.
Stuck for an idea for Christmas? Ainsley is now selling vouchers for her one-to-one, two hour make-up lessons.
The lessons are designed to put a stop to wasting money spent on make-up unsuited to lifestyle, skin type and colouring. Trade secrets will be shared, making your make-up work harder for you. The lesson is ideal if you would like to know how to do your own make-up for your big day or know someone who would love a crash course in how to apply the make-up that best suits them.
Vouchers for one to one lessons cost £65 including p&p. Each voucher comes in a gorgeous gift box and can be mailed to any location. Ainsley is offering 10% off the price of her one to one lessons for all vouchers purchased this November and December.
You can contact Ainsley M on 07919 598043; email: ainsleym@btinternet.com; www.ainsleym.co.uk
